Amal Clooney
Amal Alamuddin is a native of Beirut. The Arabic word meaning "hope" is'ml. The young girl was only 2 when her family relocated from Lebanon to Buckinghamshire from Lebanon in the Lebanese Civil War. [10] Her father Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze born in the Alam al-Din dynasty, a village in Baakline located in the Chouf Districtand received an MBA degree at the American University of Beirut. He returned in 1991 [12] to Lebanon after the Civil War was over. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was a foreign editor for al-Hayat which is a Saudi-owned paper. She established the public relations company International Communication Experts. This company is a component of an even larger firm that specializes in booking celebrities photographers, publicity and promotion of events. Amal was raised in Manila. There are two brothers and a sister. 18 Amal has attended Dr Challoner's High School. It was which is a grammar school for girls situated within Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, prior to university. In the following years, she was a student at St Hugh's College at Oxford where, among other things was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition grant. The degree she received was the degree of bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA) in the year 2000. After that, she entered New York University School of Law in pursuit of a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M). She was awarded the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award for excellence in entertainment law.While studying at NYU she worked for one year in the office Sonia Sotomayor, then a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and NYU Law faculty of the Second Circuit.
